Service Description
Spend a day or three playing active chess in person with an incredible set of peers and a grand-master worthy teacher in Toni Johansson and the Southwest Chess Club. The camp runs on 3 separate dates during this half term. Book for the day thats most convenient for you. Dates: Monday, 13th of February Tuesday, 14th of February Wednesday, 15th of February Hours: 10.00 (drop off from 9.45) to 14.00 Pickup at 14:00 sharp Location: Downstairs hall of St:Lukes Church, Redcliffe Gardens. Lunch: Please bring packed lunch, a snack and a water bottle. Nut free. Breaks: Outdoor breaks, weather permitting We offer: A fun and instructive day filled with chess activities. We will have a mix of coaching sessions, puzzle solving and competitive play. Children will be divided into groups depending on ability to achieve the greatest benefit. Daily prices will be awarded. Cost: £60 per day About Southwest Chess Club: The club opened in 2015 with the aim of providing top quality chess coaching in South West London. We run holiday camps, weekly clubs as well as providing chess clubs to local schools. The goal of the club is to introduce children to the world of chess in a fun environment and to provide continuous support to those children that would like to take their chess further so they can take part- and be competitive – in local and national tournaments. Over the years several children who have started off their chess journey with us have become top of their age groups in the country and gone on to represent England in international competitions.
