You can use code to tell an animated story, to make music, to share a game or build an app. Students enhance their Scratch learning with modules such as Events, Sequences, List variables, Nested loops, Nested conditions, Broadcast, Functions, and Game simulation to build projects such as Fruit Ninja, Boomerang Game, Catch the Imposter, This course is both age specific and based on the knowledge and the skills of the child. Our incredible teachers use well known platforms and technologies that are children friendly. Coding should be fun to all kids regardless of their background and knowledge. Very often the role of a teacher is not only to teach but to guide and encourage, then the learning happens naturally. Fortunately, today the tools and resources available in programming are world class and facilitate an even faster acceptance and understanding. Coding is fun! About the Instructor: Nisha Ramdas, is the founder of The Tinker Lab in India: a space that encourages a juxtaposition of creativity with computational thinking to nurture essential thinking in children moving towards digital literacy. Nisha has a STEM background with a Masters in Computer Science & Engg and a PhD in Biology. Over the last many years she has been actively working directly with kids in teaching them both Lego Engineering and Computer Science. Her fundamental belief is that every child should learn to code no matter what they pursue as a life passion. This is an online course. Organizer will send you details before the class.
