Exploring: Creative Writing Summer 2023

Service Description

Creative writing is all about using your imagination and creativity! Across this 5-week course students will learn about genre, scene-setting, plot development, character creation, narrative voice and practise a range of exciting literary techniques. Working independently and as part of a team, they will develop the skills of an author, learning to think critically, generate unique ideas, and use their language choice for maximum impact. The course will culminate with students pitching their work of fiction to a ‘publisher’, defending their literary and creative choices in front of an audience. Across this 5-week course students will use their imagination and creativity to produce their very own work of fiction! Working independently and as part of a team, they will investigate a range of literary techniques and narrative devices, culminating in a pitch where they will defend their creative choices in front of a ‘panel of publishers’. Choose the day of your club and we will match your child to the ideal group for them based on their age and ability Club start times - UK Time Tuesdays - 05:30 PM Saturdays - 10:30 AM Week Number Week Commencing 1 05 June 2023 2 12 June 2023 3 19 June 2023 4 26 June 2023 5 03 July 2023 Choose a date to start your class. You will be registered in all 5 sessions - one per week, for an hour each.

To cancel or reschedule, please do so 48 hours before the event for free. Please note that our providers create content for YOU and working hard to make their courses truly magical. We owe them a minimum of 48 hours notice, failing which the full amount of the class is forfeited.
