Meet Samantha, your Interview guide. Samantha Pepper studied Psychology and Education at Warwick University and is currently studying a Masters in Law. Samantha has spent many years coaching and interviewing people of all ages - from 4-65+. Her expertise in communications has helped children, young adults and adults prepare for the "Big Interview" - including pre-preparatory, preparatory or public school entrance, an hour and half interview with the Education reporter for The Times for a piece on boarding schools and preparing captains of industry and high profile individuals when they meet the media. She has also interviewed actors, celebrities and detectives - so she knows a lot about asking the right questions! Samantha is particularly adept at dealing with shy, self conscious individuals who are anxious about the interview process and, critically, instilling confidence so they do not fear but look forward to the interview. As a child who sat both the 7+ and 11 + examinations for the top London independent schools, Samantha dreaded the interview process. "I remember being painfully shy and being too scared to look at the Headmistress in the eye at my 7+. I froze in the interview and didn't get my place even though I did really well on the academic side. At 11, with some coaching, it was a different story and got the place at my top choice school. I understand the importance of preparing but not being too "rehearsed". My sessions aim to build confidence, bring out the personality of the individual and provide useful techniques for the interview itself" Your child will go through critical thinking exercises, sharpening of language, confidence building and learn to come across as the best version of themselves - honest, earnest and well mannered.
