Meet our lovely Spanish instructor, Ximena. Ximena Medina has been a career professional working in various industries. Her global experiences have taught her to become a well-rounded teacher. In the year 2000, she moved from Bogota to Madrid and education in Law and Economics, combined with a long career in banking helped open doors in different business schools, chambers of commerce and financial entities. Being Colombian and having lived for more than ten years in Madrid allowed her to immerse herself in the Spanish culture and enrich her life and her language. In 2011, Ximena moved with her Spanish husband and their two lovely to London, where she found her European experience very useful for helping students prepare for their GCSEs. Rarely do you find this combination of real-life experience in Latin America and Spain which is a huge advantage to GCSE students, as the the new cultural focus of the GCSE integrates cultural aspects of Latin America. Ximena has completed a specialized course in Spanish with EdExcel and has a teaching certificate from Cervantes University
