Service Description

FOR CHILDREN AGED 9-17. From 9:15 am until 3:15 pm. ABOUT NAO ROBOT (V6) NAO is a highly sophisticated humanoid robot which is widely used in academic research, companies and healthcare centres around the world. The NAO robot is widely known around the world and it is a tremendous programming tool for learning programming, robotics, coding and artificial intelligence. Nao is designed to interact with people, recognise objects, faces. The robot creates a unique human-robot interaction experience. The robot is highly capable of autonomous movement, is able to converse with children, identify objects and interact with its environment. Children can explore event-based configurations using the NAO behaviour modules or create own behaviours using Python for more complex scripts. WHAT WE TEACH Introduction to humanoid robots, Hardware and Software, Sensors, Speech action, Motion Algorithms, Virtual world, Virtual vision, Infrared Sensors, Sonar Detection, Touch Sensors, Light Sensors, Directional Microphones and Speech Recognition, Artificial Intelligence, Circumnavigation, Assistive Robotics, Robot Learning, Machine Learning, Simulation and Reality, Human-Robot Collaboration, Event-based programming methodologies, WeBots, Standing, Walking and Sitting behaviours, Dance Project. Mon 12th: The NAO Robot and Humanoid Robotics Tue 13th: NAO works in a Shop Wed 14th: NAO learns to Dance Thu 15th: NAO as a Calculator Fri 16th: NAO goes to the Shops LOCATION The Hampshire School. 15 Manresa Road. Chelsea. SW3 6NB. RATIO (Tutor:Child) 1:6 (minimum 2 children, maximum 6 children). We will offer you an alternative course if the course is fully booked or if the course does not open or if at any time, for any reason during the camp, there are fewer than five children enrolled until the end of the camp. LUNCH Children must bring their packed lunch (with cutlery), snacks and enough water for the day. DIFFERENTIATION We understand that ‘one size does not fit all‘. Therefore, our tutors and mentors differentiate the content of our sessions. We ensure that all children, regardless of their level of knowledge, are engaged at the appropriate level and pace. IMPORTANT: Before booking, you must know that we we organise children according to the age when attending our camps and activities.


Some Rules

To cancel or reschedule, please do so 48 hours before the event for free. Please note that our providers create content for YOU and working hard to make their courses truly magical. We owe them a minimum of 48 hours notice, failing which the full amount of the class is forfeited.
